We use eClinical Works and this system has been in place since 2012. There are pro's and con's with all systems. We will not be making any changes, but here are some the challenges/frustrations that we have experienced that I do not see changing in the near future: the expense for the cloud version of eCW is twice the price of our current inhouse server system; many enhanced services such as Ipad applications, billing for CCM, and the ability to share our data with the local RHIO all come with a new and recurring charge per month, many on a per provider basis.

    Hi Joy,

From what I've seen in the Albany area most practices that are hospital owned have Epic or a Cerner product. They all have their pro's and cons.

What is the #1 must have for the system of choice?

I am looking into a new EMR System for one of my practices, and want to know what others in NY are using.
