Jose David, MD, FAAFP

Dr. David finished his training at Albany Medical Center and had been practicing as a Family Physician. He was the medical director of one the largest substance abuse programs in Upstate New York, St. Peters Addiction Recovery Center (SPARC) from 2001-2011, in Albany, NY. Dr David is a past president of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians (NYSAFP) and currently serves as their delegate to the House of Congress of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY). He was recognized by the New York Society of Medicine for his successful eﬀorts to lobby against smoked marijuana. Ever since medical marijuana was legalized he has been giving lectures to hospitals and other state and national institutions on this topic.

Hepp (Terri) is the Director of Patient Experience for Guthrie Medical
Group. The Guthrie Health System is comprised of five hospitals in rural
north central Pennsylvania and south-central New York and employs over
6,000 people. Terri has over 25 years of experience in healthcare
leadership in a variety of organizations including private practices,
FQHC’s, and large integrated delivery systems.
Terri has been an MGMA member for over 20 years. She served on the PA MGMA Board of Directors as a Board Member for 20 years, served as the Pennsylvania ACMPE State Representative for 14 years, and also served on and chaired the PA MGMA Education Committee. She currently serves MGMA as an Eastern Section Liaison. Terri holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree. In 2003 she became a Certified Medical Practice Executive and in 2007 she became a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives. She is currently studying to attain her certification as a Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, spending time outdoors, and traveling.

Amy Lafko is a Physical Therapist with over 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare including urgent care practices within a large health system’s medical group. Amy has served as the American Physical Therapy Association’s LAMP Institute for Leadership. Amy earned her MSPT from Ithaca College and her MBA from Loyola University of MD.

Amy LaGrange is an area practice leader at Hanger Inc. Hanger is 150 year old publicly traded healthcare services company focusing on prosthetic and orthotics services. Prior to her role at Hanger, Amy served in variety of healthcare leadership roles including Director of Primary care, Practice administrator, and manager of physician billing. Prior her roles in civilian healthcare she served in a clinic leadership capacities while in the US Navy and stationed at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia and in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Amy is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE), Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and a Certified Professional Coder (CPC.) Outside of work Amy enjoys long distance running, rowing, golfing, reading long books, and back yard pick up soccer games with her husband and daughters.
Joseph Lazar, JD
Associate Director of Government Affairs
Joe currently serves as Associate Director of Government Affairs for MGMA. In this position, he represents medical group practices in Washington DC, coordinates grassroots efforts, and serves as a regulatory resource for physician group members. Before joining MGMA, Joe was the Senior Legislative Associate for a 2000-member Independent Physicians Association in New York. Joe has his Bachelors’ Degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his law degree from American University Washington College of Law.
Regional Sales Executive
Andrew Politi brings over 35 years of experience working within the credit and collection industries. He spent 10 years in the banking industry handling the credit and collections departments as well as utilizing third-party collections working with collection agencies and collection attorneys.
He spent the last 25 years working with national collection agencies as a sales executive and trainer. He has given numerous talks in the healthcare arena over that time on such topics as accounts receivable management, hiring the right agencies, when to utilize third-party influence, making payment arrangements, and many more.
President and Chief Financial Officer
Michael has invested in healthcare companies for the past decade. Prior to Stellar Health, Michael was a Principal at Apax Partners, a large cap global private equity firm where he deployed c.$3bn of capital and served on the board of companies including Vyaire Medical, Medicomp, One Call Care Management and TriZetto. In addition, he currently serves on the board of the CUNY School of Public Health and Global Language Project. He received his Bachelors degree from Michigan and an MBA from Wharton.

Arne Salkin works with clients in a variety of healthcare industries to help improve the backend of their revenue cycle. He brings over a dozen years of increasing experience within the debt collection industry to his clients and the agency. Arne has presented to national and regional conferences on a variety of collections topics. He knows the importance of not leaving money on the table and he understands the pain points for providers from being on the other side of the table with his experience in the not-for-profit and hospitality sectors.

Robert Thorpe, Esq.
Robert is a member of the Barclay Damon Labor & Employment and Commercial Litigation Practice Areas. He has represented both private and public sector employers in all aspects of state and federal law. Rob regularly counsels clients in discrimination and harassment, hiring and termination strategies, and wage and hour matters. He attended LeMoyne College and obtained his J.D. at Tulane University Law School.
