Mary Kelly, PhD, CSP, CDR, US Navy (ret)
Dr. Mary Kelly is an internationally recognized economist, author, and speaker who shares her perspective on creating strong leadership, productivity and communication.
In 21 years as a Navy intelligence and logistics officer, Mary trained more than 40,000 military and civilian personnel. Mary holds a degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, master’s degrees in both in Economics and History, and a PhD in economics. She has more than 20 years experience teaching economics, finance, leadership, and management at the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, and Hawaii Pacific University.
Mary is also a member of MENSA and the American Economics Association. She is the recipient of the U.S. Air Force Academy Outstanding Educator and Instructor of the Year awards.
Mary believes that productivity and employee engagement starts at the top. This is why Mary now trains CEOs and business owners on how to create productive workplaces with enthusiastic employees. She says that it’s up to those at the top to set expectations and boost morale – and to encourage their people to perform better at their jobs.
Matthew Devino, Associate Director
Government Affairs, MGMA
Matt serves as an Associate Director, Membership & Policy for MGMA's Government Affairs office in Washington, DC. In his primary role as a government affairs member liaison, he works to inform membership of the federal rules and regulations impacting medical group practices around the country. He works closely with MGMA state affiliate chapters in the Eastern and Western regions to organize grassroots efforts and is a frequent speaker at state and national meetings.
Before joining MGMA, Matt was a Senior Research Analyst at The Health Management Academy, a health system executive member organization based in Arlington, VA. In that role, Matt conducted strategic research and market analyses on topics relevant to the nation's leading health systems and top healthcare industry companies.
Matt holds a Master of Public Health with a Health Policy and Management focus from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology from Harvard University.
Mike Enos, CPC, CPMA, CPC-I, CEMC

Mike Enos, CPC, CPMA, CPC-I, CEMC has over 15 years of experience in the medical coding, billing compliance, and revenue cycle management field. Mike started by working in revenue cycle management in 2003. He began instructing medical coding and consulting in 2009. Mike has extensive experience in all aspects of the revenue cycle, and was a billing account manager for physician practices.
After attending Rhode Island College and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts, Mike continued his education by pursuing four professional medical coding certifications from the American Academy of Professional Coders: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), Certified Professional Coding Instructor (CPC-I), and Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC). Mike has developed a suite of online training courses on Evaluation and Management, ICD-10, and CPC preparation. Mike is experienced in medical chart auditing, in addition to teaching, and consulting.
Mike has contributed articles to Medical Economics and MGMA Connection Magazine, and AAPC Coder’s Edge magazine, and collaborated with Physicians Practice, Contemporary OB/GYN, and Contemporary Pediatrics magazines. He has presented at Regional and National MGMA Conferences, AAPC Chapter Meetings, the Rhode Island Medical Society, and the New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA) Fall Forum. He has joined the MGMA Health Care Consultant Group, and is a partner in Enos Medical Coding. He has joined several nationally accredited professional organizations, including the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), National Alliance of Medical Auditing Specialists (NAMAS), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE.)

He has over 20 years of media experience and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Leadership at SUNY Empire State College. Margaret Surowka, Counsel

As counsel at Barclay Damon with almost 30 years of legal experience, Margaret primarily concentrates her practice on representing individual health care providers and facilities in employment, compliance and regulatory proceedings. She routinely counsels clients facing employment discrimination complaints filed with the State Division of Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission and Department of Labor investigations and audits. She has conducted independent investigations of sexual harassment complaints and has conducted trainings for board, management and staff on sexual harassment and whistleblower complaints. She represents providers in preparing and defending them in employment and independent contractor contract matters. She assists clients with compliance programs and has successfully represented health care entities with significant disclosures to the federal and state government. Margaret also defends clients facing Medicaid investigations and audits and disciplinary matters before the Office of Professional Medical Conduct and the Office of Professional Discipline.
Dr. Michelle J. Auerbach is a native of Watertown, New York and graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2004 where she received a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Neuroscience. From 2004-2005 she worked at Upstate Medical University where she was part of a cardiac electrophysiology research lab. In 2009 she earned her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Dr. Auerbach completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Genesy’s Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan in 2013.
Following residency, she joined Associates for Women’s Medicine in Syracuse, NY where she is now Secretary/Treasurer of the group and has been a partner since 2018. She is on the Medical Executive Committee at St. Joseph’s Hospital as well as Vice Chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
She is board certified in OB-GYN by the American Board of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her professional interests include minimally invasive gynecological surgery, urinary incontinence surgery, office procedures including endometrial ablations and hysteroscopy, contraceptive management, as well as the management of obstetrical patients.
She currently resides in Marcellus, New York with her husband, two children, and their energetic chocolate lab Keene.
